# Chapter 10: Staking System

### 10.1 Staking Purpose

Staking in Verogram is not merely a yield mechanism. It serves as:

* **Access Control:** Higher staking unlocks higher tiers and better tasks
* **Quality Signal:** Stakers have economic skin in the game, reducing fraud incentive
* **Supply Reduction:** Staked tokens are removed from circulating supply

### 10.2 Tier System

| Tier | Minimum Stake | Benefits |
| -------- | ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| Bronze | — | Access to basic tasks |
| Silver | — | Higher task value, faster vesting |
| Gold | — | Priority task allocation, higher daily limits |
| Platinum | — | Highest rewards, exclusive campaigns, lowest vesting period |

*Exact staking thresholds are defined in the internal parameters and may be adjusted based on market conditions.*

### 10.3 Staking Rewards

* Stakers receive a share of platform fees
* Reward rate scales with tier level
* Rewards are distributed periodically

### 10.4 Unstaking Rules

* Unstaking requires a cooldown period
* Early unstaking may incur a penalty
* Tier downgrade is immediate upon unstaking below threshold
